Over an active 19-game on-base streak, Alvarez has posted a .363/.474/.651 slash line, with five home runs, 13 walks, and 11 strikeouts.
Bryan Ramos has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte by the White Sox.
In light of Ramos' recall, Lenyn Sosa might have to compete with Brooks Baldwin for playing time at second now. For Charlotte this month, he hit .291/.398/.557, which was better than his Triple-A performance in June and July. The six home runs he has this month are two more than he had in 78 games between the majors and minors over the first four months of the season. Despite the fact that he is probably still not ready to be a quality regular in the majors, the White Sox don't have anything to lose by trying him out.

It was expected his return this week, but according to Fegan, Paul Janish, Director of Player Development, said Monday that Quero is unlikely to return anytime soon. Before the injury, Quero was considered for a September promotion, and his current placement on the IL may prevent him from making his big-league debut.
