Cionel Pérez secured a save against the Marlins by striking out two batters in a flawless inning on Thursday. Despite the primary closer Craig Kimbrel faltering in the ninth inning, leading to extra innings, Pérez prevented the automatic runner from scoring in the 10th inning, helping Baltimore take the lead.
