Yandy Diaz's 15-game hitting streak, which was the longest streak in MLB, came to an end on Thursday. Yoán Moncada Added to 10-Day Injured List Due to Knee Injury.
Yoán Moncada has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to inflammation in his right knee and is anticipated to return in early July. Moncada has been struggling with right knee inflammation throughout June. This marks the fourth time this month he has been added to the 10-day injured list for the same issue. Prior to the injury, Moncada participated in 30 games this season, holding a batting average of .237 with 6 home runs and 19 RBIs. His OPS is .841, and he recorded a .429 average in his last three games before being placed on the injured list.
