Aroldis Chapman pitched a hitless ninth inning for his ninth save on Sunday against the Braves.

In Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman took the mound with a two-run lead in the ninth inning. Despite issuing one walk, Chapman delivered a scoreless inning, securing his ninth save of the season. Although the trainer visited him on the field, he continued pitching without any issues. Chapman has been performing exceptionally well, allowing just one earned run over his last eight innings. Following this performance, Chapman boasts a 1.88 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 32/9 K/BB ratio this season. Remarkably, the 37-year-old shows no signs of slowing down.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr.'s double and RBI propel Diamondbacks to victory over Nationals on Sunday.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. put the Diamondbacks ahead initially with an RBI double against Mitchell Parker in the first inning. He later scored on a two-run homer by Eugenio Suárez. Despite the Diamondbacks managing only three hits in the game, it was sufficient for their offense. This season, the 31-year-old outfielder is batting .251/.291/.436, with eight home runs, 33 RBIs, and three stolen bases.

Andy Pagés Smashes His 11th Home Run.

Andy Pagées hit a home run and a double, adding an RBI and a run in their 7-3 defeat against the New York Yankees. Pagés hit his 11th home run of the season, bringing his total to 37 RBIs, leading all Cuban players in both categories. He is maintaining his strong performance at the plate, boasting a .417 average over his last three games. His slugging percentage has soared to an impressive 1.000 in this period, thanks to his two home runs. The center fielder demonstrates a talent for performing well from the sixth position in the lineup, boasting a .321 average and a .904 OPS. His steady performance at home is also impressive, with a .295 average and seven home runs this season.

Adrián Morejón Secures Victory for Padres Over Pirates on Sunday.

Adrián Morejón earned the win for the San Diego Padres in their 6-4 triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates, making a significant impact from the bullpen. With a 3.09 ERA and a WHIP of 1.03 over 23 1/3 innings, he has delivered consistent performances throughout the season. His 7.7 K/9 rate showcases his strong strikeout capability, enhancing the bullpen's depth. Allowing just four walks, Morejón is showing control and efficiency whenever needed.

Luis Robert Jr. moving lower in the lineup.

Luis Robert Jr. played center field and batted seventh in the lineup on Sunday against the Orioles. He went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout. The veteran outfielder has gone 0-for-10 with seven strikeouts in the past three games after sitting out a couple days due to knee soreness. For Sunday manager Will Venable has elected to move Robert down the lineup given his season-long struggles at the plate, but that did not help either. The 27-year-old leads the league with 21 stolen bases but has otherwise struggled offensively with a .180/.270/.291 slash line, five homers, 20 RBIs and 24 runs in 54 games.

Yandy Díaz went hitless on Sunday.

Following an impressive showing on Saturday, Yandy Díaz went 0-for-4 against the Astros on Sunday, resulting in a 1-0 defeat for the Rays. The 33-year-old has shown inconsistent performance at the plate, batting .234 with 14 RBIs and 11 strikeouts over his last 15 games for the Rays. After Sunday's loss, Yandy has a .237 batting average with 34 RBIs and eight home runs over 55 games this season.

The Royals sent OF Dairon Blanco to Triple-A Omaha.

The team required a position for top prospect Jac Caglianone, leading them to assign Blanco to the minors. This decision is somewhat unusual, as Blanco is an excellent fourth outfielder and exceptional baserunner, but the Royals appear to think that their current MLB roster doesn't require those skills.

On Sunday, Miguel Vargas and Edgar Quero did not achieve any hits.

In Sunday's 3-2 defeat against the Orioles, Miguel Vargas and Edgar Quero collectively went 0-for-8. Quero struck out twice. Vargas is currently experiencing a hitless streak, having gone nine consecutive at-bats without a hit over the past three games.

Adolis García was absent from the lineup for the third straight game on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Adolis García had the entire weekend off, marking his third consecutive game sitting out, as the Rangers aim to give him a mental break from the field. Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News also reported that manager Bruce Bochy has not indicated that García will be removed from his regular spot in right field. The Rangers are optimistic that this break will allow the two-time All-Star to make adjustments at the plate and return to peak performance. Over his past 15 games, Adolis has posted a terrible .173/.218/.346 slash line and has a strikeout rate of 34.5 percent.

Jorge Soler went hitless on Sunday.

The Angels were defeated 4-2 by the Guardians, with Jorge Soler failing to get a hit. Soler went 0-for-4 with a strikeout while playing as the designated hitter and batting cleanup for the Angels. Soler is struggling offensively, posting a slash line of .185/.241/.296, with one home run and three RBIs in his last seven games.

Yoán Moncada was not included in Sunday's lineup.

According to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register, Yoán Moncada was not included in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians. After missing a game due to knee soreness, Moncada returned on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run. However, he was back on the bench on Sunday. There is no indication that the veteran third baseman's injury has deteriorated, so this may have just been a rest day.
