Miguel Vargas hit his seventh home run.

Miguel Vargas went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and a solo home run against the Rangers on Sunday. Vargas got the White Sox on the scoreboard with a solo home run in the fourth inning, followed by a double and a run in the sixth. The 25-year-old has been in excellent form recently, achieving five multi-hit games in his last 10 appearances, with nine extra-base hits, eight RBI, and six runs scored. For the season, he's posting a .239/.316/.418 slash line with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored, and one steal in 206 plate appearances.

Adolis García provided the decisive hit to win the game.

Adolis García went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in Sunday's 5-4 victory over the White Sox. He contributed to a three-run rally in the top of the ninth inning by hitting a two-run double, securing Texas' comeback win. This marked the second consecutive game in which Adolis hit an extra-base hit, and he leads the Rangers with 27 RBIs despite a slow start to the season. His struggles at the plate led manager Bruce Bochy to move him down in the batting order from the cleanup position to seventh or eighth in the last four games. Adolis is currently batting .213/.262/.383 over 53 games.

Luis Robert Jr. recorded no hits in two at-bats but contributed with a sacrifice fly, an RBI, and a stolen base in the game against the Rangers on Sunday.

Luis Robert Jr. has a batting average of only .190, an OPS of .588, and 20 RBIs this season. The 27-year-old outfielder has been significantly underperforming, resulting in a lower position in the batting order. He even acknowledged to the media that another team might not be interested in trading for him. His 20 stolen bases are the only highlight in an otherwise disappointing performance.

El Astros manager Joe Espada informed reporters on Sunday that Yordan Álvarez is still making progress, but he is not yet ready to be removed from the injured list.

Yordan Álvarez is currently in a holding pattern, which is frustrating for fans eagerly anticipating his return. The 27-year-old superstar would be back in Houston’s lineup if he were at 100 percent, but that’s evidently not the situation. At this point, it’s uncertain how close he is to returning, especially after he mentioned to reporters earlier this week that he is still experiencing some right hand soreness while swinging a bat. Hopefully, there will be more clarity on his status in the coming days.

Yandy Díaz with two RBIs.

Yandy Díaz had a 1-for-5 performance in the Rays' decisive 13-0 victory over the Blue Jays. He contributed with his 10th double of the year, two RBIs and also struck out twice. This season, Yandy has accumulated 29 RBIs, tying him for second place among Cuban players alongside Andy Pagés.

Andy Pagés went hitless on Sunday.

Andy Pagés went hitless in four at-bats during Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Mets. He did manage to steal a base, his number 6 this year. Playing in center field, this marked his fourth game without a hit in his last six appearances. Over his past seven games, his stats are .172/.167/.276 with one home run and 5 RBIs.

Randy Arozarena struck out three times.

In Sunday's 5-3 defeat against the Astros, Randy Arozarena went 1-for-4. He managed to score a run but also struck out three times. Over his last seven games, Arozarena has been hitting only .179/.258/.286, with no home runs, RBIs, or stolen bases.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. with one Sunday.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had one hit in five at-bats and struck out once during the D-backs' 4-3 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. Offensively, Gurriel has been showing improvement in May, achieving a .299/.354/.529 slash line with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs. He is currently on a modest three-game hitting streak.

Edgar Quero with multi-hit game.

Edgar Quero had a strong performance, going 3-for-4 and scoring a run in the White Sox's 5-4 defeat against the Rangers. This marked Quero's fourth multihit game in May and his second game with three hits since May 13. His season slash line improved to .274/.355/.326, with 10 RBIs and still no home runs.

Jorge Soler and Yoán Moncada did not get any hits.

Jorge Soler and Yoán Moncada collectively went 0-for-7 with five strikeouts in Sunday's 3-0 loss to the Angels against the Marlins. Moncada struck out twice, while Soler had three strikeouts. Moncada has hit 4 home runs and has 17 RBIs this year, whereas Soler has accumulated 21 RBIs with 7 home runs in 2025.

The Orioles have designated left-handed pitcher Cionel Pérez for assignment.

Cionel Pérez was removed from Baltimore’s active roster prior to the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox. The 29-year-old southpaw struggled to a bloated 8.31 ERA across 21 2/3 innings (19 appearances) this season. Given his previous track record, there should be some interest on waivers.

The Angels have signed outfielder Oscar Colás to a minor league contract.

After completing a physical, Oscar Colás is expected to join the Angels' Double-A team in Rocket City. Colás, who signed with the White Sox as an international free agent from Cuba in January 2022, quickly became one of their top prospects. However, he didn't live up to his potential, recording a .223/.271/.309 slash line over 301 plate appearances in 88 games for Chicago during the 2023 and 2024 seasons before being removed from the 40-man roster in late March. The 26-year-old outfielder continued to struggle in the minors, leading to his release by the White Sox on Saturday after posting a .500 OPS in 29 games with Triple-A Charlotte and Double-A Birmingham this season.

Athletics right-handed pitcher prospect Luis D. Morales pitched six hitless innings for Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Luis D. Morales delivered an outstanding performance in his Triple-A debut, retiring 11 straight batters before allowing a walk. This was the only baserunner he permitted over six nearly flawless innings. The 22-year-old top pitching prospect was recently promoted to just below the major leagues after achieving a solid 2.98 ERA and a 53/15 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3 innings (eight starts) for Double-A Midland.
