Cuban Players News for the 2025 Major League Baseball season. A compilation of several sources.

Yandy Díaz had three hits in four at-bats, scored three runs, and hit a grand slam against the Orioles on Friday.

Yandy Díaz went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, two more runs scored, and a walk in Friday's 11-1 victory over Baltimore. On Friday, Yandy set a season high in RBI and marked his 10th game of the year with at least three hits. The veteran infielder has recorded at least one hit in 10 of his first 13 games in July, maintaining a hot streak at the plate. Since June began, Yandy has a slash line of .362/427/.553 with 14 extra-base hits and 23 RBI over 171 plate appearances.

Luis Robert Jr. delivered an impressive performance, going 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs, three runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base in a 10-1 victory over the Pirates on Friday.

Luis Robert Jr. had a perfect night, going 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks, two additional runs, and a stolen base in the White Sox's 10-1 victory over the Pirates on Friday. Robert was a standout, reaching base four times and displaying his power-speed combination with his 10th home run and 23rd stolen base of the season. Since coming back from the injured list, the 27-year-old outfielder has hit safely in six of seven games, achieving a 7-for-21 (.333) record with two home runs and four walks, while continuing to be a key player in the middle of the White Sox's lineup.

Edgar Quero hits his second career home run.

Edgar Quero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, and an additional run scored in Friday's 10-1 win over the Pirates. The 22-year-old rookie put the White Sox on the scoreboard early by hitting a 391-foot solo home run off Bailey Falter in the first inning, marking his second career MLB home run. Later, he added a double in the seventh inning, making it his third career game with multiple extra-base hits. Quero has been performing well at the plate recently, going 6-for-21 (.286) with two homers over his last seven games while continuing to earn spots in the middle of Chicago's lineup.

Randy Arozarena hit a home run and drew a walk in Friday's victory against the Astros.

Randy Arozarena went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-1 victory over the Astros. Although Arozarena went 0-for-3 in the All-Star Game, his power returned with the regular season's continuation. He's hit home runs in his last three games for the Mariners, bringing his total to 18 for the year, with 10 in his last 14 games. The outfielder now has a .252/.358/.470 slash line, with 49 RBIs, 54 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases over 95 games, putting him on track for a fifth consecutive 20-20 season. The question, of course, is how much regression Arozarena might face in the upcoming weeks or months.

Jorge Soler's strength leads Angels to narrow victory over Phillies.

Jorge Soler contributed to the win against the Phillies by going 1-for-3, hitting a home run, while also scoring and drawing a walk. Following today's win over Philadelphia, Soler maintains a .205 batting average with 11 home runs and 33 RBIs over 78 games this season. Over his last seven games, he's batting .286.

Raisel Iglesias pitched another scoreless inning in the victory over the Yankees.

During the Braves' 7-3 win against the Yankees on Friday, Raisel Iglesias secured the game by delivering a flawless ninth inning. He recorded one strikeout in his performance. Over his last 15 games, Iglesias has maintained a spotless ERA, pitching 13 2/3 innings with an impressive 18:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio and allowing only six hits, steadily reclaiming his position as the team's closer.

Miguel Vargas ignites White Sox victory with two runs and two walks.

Miguel Vargas played a key role in the Chicago White Sox's commanding 10-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, scoring twice and earning two walks. Vargas showed discipline against the Pirates, reaching base twice through walks in the White Sox's victory. His patience at the plate has contributed to a .297 on-base percentage this season, despite a .218 batting average over 93 games. Vargas did not get a hit in his 3 at-bats, aligning with his recent trend of a .125 average over the last 3 games. Despite his recent struggles at the plate, his road OPS remains strong at .794, demonstrating his ability to perform well away from home.

Yordan Álvarez started swinging a bat again on Thursday.

The 28-year-old power hitter is gradually progressing in his recovery from a minor fracture in his right hand. He is currently with the Astros in Seattle, where he will continue his workouts with the goal of eventually going on a minor league rehab assignment when he is ready. General manager Dana Brown mentioned on Sunday that the organization might "try to speed up Yordan's return." Although Yordan has only recently started swinging, it seems Houston is aiming to have him back in the lineup during the road trip. Initially, he will likely ease back into action by playing as the designated hitter. Yordan has been on the injured list since May 5 due to the fractured hand.

Mariners outfield prospect Lázaro Montes smashed a three-run home run on Friday for Double-A Arkansas.

Lázaro Montes has hit three home runs in his last four games and ranks second in the minors with 24 home runs this season. The 20-year-old power hitter's ability to hit home runs is genuine, and he's performing well since his promotion to the Double-A level in late June, boasting a 1.075 OPS over 16 games. He has a strong chance of ending the year as one of the top 25 prospects.

Yoán Moncada was absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.

A little bit of a surprise considering Yoán Moncada was in the lineup on a consistent basis prior to the All-Star break. Hopefully this is just a day off for the 30-year-old.
