Luis Robert reaches 64 RBI.


Luis Robert went 1-for-4 with two RBI as the White Sox topped the Yankees 5-1 on Monday. Luis Robert Jr. contributed a two-run double to Chicago's five-run eighth inning and helped Chicago extend its lead. Luis Robert has already played in a career-high 110 games this season, slashing .270/.323/.558 with 30 HR and 64 RBI in 463 plate appearances as well as stealing 14 bases, which is a career high.


Aroldis Chapman holds lead Monday. Chapman (5-2) pitched a scoreless eighth inning in a 5-3 win over Oakland on Monday to get his hold #12 of the year. In the eighth inning, he struck out the side and walked one. Chapman was the pitcher for Texas in the bottom of the eighth when the Rangers took the lead in the top of that frame. Chapman has allowed three runs - in his only bad outing on Jul 24 against the Astros -, while striking out 20 over 11 innings since coming over from Kansas City.



Monday, Yoán Moncada and Yasmani Grandal combined for no hits.


In Monday's 5-1 victory over the Yankees, Moncada and Grandal combined to go 0-for-5 with one strikeout. It has now been 14 consecutive at bats without a hit for Moncada. Additionally, he struck out and walked. As for Grandal, he went 0-for-2 with a walk in his fifth consecutive start.


Adolis García added double 24 on Monday.

García went 1-for-4 with his double #24 of the year, a walk and a run scored in Monday's 5-3 win over the A's. He struck out twice. García, had homered four times and added five RBI while going 9-for-23 (.391) over seven games in August. The outfielder has maintained an impressive .266/.343/.532 slash line with 29 HR, 89 RBI, 85 runs scored, seven stolen bases and 24 doubles through 110 contests this year.


Jorge Soler belts HR #27. Yuli Gurriel hitless.


Jorge Soler went 1-for-4 with a RBI and 2 strikeouts Monday in a 5-2 loss to the Reds. Jorge In the top of the first, Soler hit his 27th homer of the season to give the Marlins a 1-0 lead. He went 0-for-3 with 2 strikeouts in the rest of the contest. In 109 games, the power outfielder has slashed .241/.331/.491 with 27 HR, 60 RBI, and 112 strikeouts. In the same game, Yuli Gurriel went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. In his first season with the Marlins Gurriel is hitting .270/.328/.386 with 3 HR and 20 RBI.



Dairon Blanco: Hitless on Monday.


Blanco went 0-for-3 Monday in a 6-2 loss to the Red Sox. Blanco walked and struck out, leaving his slash line in .237/.293/.395 for the year. He has 12 RBI and 12 stolen bases.


Oscar Colás was out of White Sox Monday's lineup. Colás was not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees. Colás got a day off after starting 14 straight games for the White Sox.


Andy Ibáñez went to the bench Monday. Ibáñez was out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins. Nick Maton got the starting nod at second base in the series opener versus Minnesota, but Ibáñez manned the keystone for each of the previous three games and appears to be Detroit's preferred option at the position. Ibáñez closed the weekend series with the Rays with a pair of two-hit games and is now batting .288 since the All-Star break.
