Luis Robert went 2-for-3 with a homer in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader.
Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta. Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While Robert has struggled to the tune of a .204 average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger.
Adolis García hit a solo home run and went 1-for-4 in the game against the Orioles on Thursday.
Adolis hit his 15th home run of the season. While this may not be Garcia's most outstanding season, he is demonstrating a consistent performance. Despite his .219 batting average, he is projected to achieve approximately 30 home runs, 15 stolen bases, and run totals in the mid-80s. Although Garcia is not replicating his exceptional performance from last year, he is still having a quite successful season.
Daysbel Hernández remains scoreless once again.
Daysbel pitched a scoreless eighth inning in the Atlanta Braves' 1-0 loss to the Chicago White Sox. He struck out one in an 18-pitch outing, with 12 strikes. This was the right-hander's eighth appearance of the season, solidifying his role as a reliable late-inning reliever for Atlanta. He now has 11 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings, maintaining his ERA unblemished while lowering his WHIP to 1.04.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had another game with multiple hits.
In the D-backs' 13-6 loss to the Twins, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 3-2. Gurriel also drew a walk and scored a run. It marked Gurriel's 25th multihit game of the year, with 11 of them coming in June. In this month, he is batting .337/.356/.530 with 4 HRs and 14 RBIs.
