During his short stint on the mound, Morejón delivered a flawless inning, striking out one batter without giving up any hits or walks. Throughout the season, he has pitched 39 innings in 42 games, boasting an impressive 1.85 ERA and a WHIP of 0.80. His strikeout count increased to 35 with this latest outing, alongside a minimal walk total of 7 for the year.

Yariel Rodríguez with another scoreless outing.
Yariel Rodríguez pitched in a crucial moment on Friday during the Jays' 4-3 win over the Angels in 10 innings. He came into the game with the score tied at three and two runners on base in the eighth inning. After walking Taylor Ward to load the bases, he ended the inning by striking out Jo Adell. In the ninth inning, despite giving up a leadoff single to Logan O'Hoppe and hitting Gustavo Campero, he closed the inning by inducing Kevin Newman to ground into a double play. Rodríguez now has 44 1/3 innings pitched with a 40:15 strikeout-to-walk ratio, a 2.64 ERA in 36 games, a 2-0 record, one save, and has allowed 10 hits this year.
Yanquiel Fernández had his first MLB hit.
Newcomer Yanquiel Fernández had his first MLB hit on Friday during the Rockies' 3-2 loss to the White Sox. Yanquiel got the hit in his first at-bat off right-hander Adrian Houser in the third inning, with a grounder to right field. Playing as the designated hitter and eighth in the lineup, Yanquiel managed to eliminate the constant pressure of the first hit in just his second game as a regular. The 22-year-old had 69 hits in 64 games this season in AAA, and many good things are expected knowing he has power and is a "shortened" version of Yordan Álvarez.

Compared to most of the first half of the season, Adolis has improved, hitting three home runs, 22 RBIs, and 12 runs scored in his last 30 games.
Jorge Soler was not included in the Angels' starting lineup for Friday night's game against the Blue Jays.
After returning from the injured list, Jorge Soler started the first three games, so they decided to give him a rest as they gradually reintroduce him to a full-time schedule. He entered the game that the Angels lost to the Jays in the 8th inning as a pinch hitter and ended 0-for-1 with a strikeout.

His ISO stands at .268, a figure he hasn't surpassed since 2019 when it was higher than .165.
The Blue Jays have called up RHP Lázaro Estrada from Triple-A Buffalo.
This marks the first time the 26-year-old Cuban right-hander has been called up to the major leagues. Estrada served solely as a starter at Triple-A Buffalo, achieving a 4.75 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and a 66/21 K/BB ratio over 60 2/3 innings in 15 starts.
