Luis Robert went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in the 10th inning in the White Sox 5-3 victory over the Royals in extra frames on Monday.

With the game tied at 3-3, Robert crushed a two-run shot off a normally effective Scott Barlow to give the White Sox a 5-3 cushion and ultimately an extra-innings victory. It wasn't a walk-off since the game was in Kansas City, but it's the second "game-winning" hit in three games after Robert's walk-off single against the Yankees on Saturday. It's the fifth homer of the season for the star outfielder, and that homer along with a single has him slashing .308/.345/.477 over the first five weeks of the season.

Roenis Elias allowed one run over an inning of work Monday in his season debut against the Blue Jays.

It was Elias's first appearance since September 5, 2019. The 33-year-old left-hander underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery back in March, 2020 and finally made it back to the majors.

Yennier Cano wins first MLB game.

Can, who made his MLB debut last Wednesday without throwing an official major league pitch, won his first MLB game Monday night against the A's. Cano came in relief of starter Chris Archer in the fifth inning, completing two scoreless innings of one-hit and two strikeouts. Cano threw 25 pitches, 18 of them for strikes, facing seven hitters.

Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run homer while going 2-for-5 Monday in an extra-innings win over the Royals.

Grandal blasted a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give the White Sox a 3-0 lead. It's only the second homer of the season for the backstop, and fantasy managers have to be thrilled to see some power from a player that is still struggling with a .255 slugging percentage. Grandal got off to a rocky start last year as well, and it'd be an upset if he didn't finish the year as one of the top catching options in baseball again.

Astros' Aledmys Díaz: Sits in favor of Dubon.

Díaz was out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. Diaz took a seat in favor of the newly-acquired Mauricio Dubon after starting at shortstop in each of the Astros' three contests over the weekend. Díaz, who recently overcame a nagging undisclosed injury of his own, went 4-for13 with a run and an RBI during the Astros' series victory in Washington.

White Sox's Oscar Colás: Returns to action at High-A.

Colas (wrist) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run in his return from the 7-day injured list Sunday in High-A Winston-Salem's 5-1 win over Rome.

Back in action for the first time in two and a half weeks, Colas picked up right where he left off prior to suffering the wrist injury. The 23-year-old outfielder is now slashing .312/.376/.519 in his first season of the affiliated ball and could soon be in store for a promotion to Double-A Birmingham.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was not in the Blue Jays' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

It looks like it was a routine off day for Gurriel Jr., who has started 17 consecutive games since April 27. Raimel Tapia draws the start in left field Monday evening against Seattle.

Mariners purchased the contract of LHP Roenis Elías from Triple-A Tacoma.

Elías joins the Mariners as a roster replacement for Drew Steckenrider, who has been placed on the restricted list, for the team's series in Toronto. The 33-year-old left-hander underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery back in March, 2020 and hasn't pitched in the majors since 2019.

Rangers' Andy Ibáñez: Monday off. Ibáñez was out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels. Ibáñez took a seat after starting in each of the previous five games while going 1-for-15 at the plate. Brad Miller, who typically plays left field, played at third base in Ibáñez's stead.
