José Iglesias picked up a two-run homer on Monday in a victory over the Dodgers.

Iglesias doubled the Rockies' lead with a two-run homer in the sixth off Tyler Anderson, giving Colorado a 4-0 lead. The shortstop has his first homer as a member of the Rockies, and he's now driven in 20 runs over 218 at-bats. Iglesias can help in the average category as seen in his .298 mark, but asking for help anywhere else is asking too much.

Yankee's Aroldis Chapman: Manager Aaron Boone said Monday that Clay Holmes "has certainly earned that closer role."

When Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) returns later this week, it sounds like it will be in lower-leverage spots while the team makes sure his delivery is in order. Assuming he accomplishes that, he'll then form a 1-2 "back-end monster" tandem with Holmes, per Boone. It doesn't seem like we have a ton of clarity on the roles here yet, other than it will still be Holmes closing at least in the short term. Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) will make a final rehab appearance with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday before being activated. That would seemingly put him on track to rejoin the Yankees' bullpen as soon as Thursday.

Yasmani Grandal (back) has resumed taking swings off a tee, but hasn't resumed running.

There isn't a timetable for Grandal to embark on a minor league rehab assignment, but his back pain has subsided to some degree. He'll need to ramp up his activity and progress to running at full speed before he's cleared for a rehab assignment. It remains unclear when he'll be back for the White Sox this season.

White Sox's Luis Robert and José Abreu: Combined for a single against the Angels.

Luis Robert and Abreu went 1-for-8 combined on Monday night against the Angels, in a 4-3 loss. Luis Robert had was hitless while Abreu added his 17 double of the season, while collecting his 33 RBI.

Raisel Iglesias picked up a save with a scoreless ninth Monday against the White Sox. Face a 2-game suspension.

Iglesias struck out one, didn't allow a hit, and threw 9-of-11 pitches for strikes. The 32-year-old now has 14 saves on the season, and it lowers his ERA to 3.76 with a strong WHIP of 0.84. Iglesias has also gotten a two-game suspension for his actions during Sunday's brawl between the Angels and Mariners.

Marlins' Jorge Soler: Hitless against the Cardinals.

Jorge Soler went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Monday 9-0 loss to the Cardinals. Soler BA reached now a lowest .215 for the year while, with 81 SO already this year, he is projected to have 150+ when the season is over.

Rangers' Adolis García: A double on Monday.

Adolis García went 1-for-5, scored and had his double 13 and RBI 48 of the season, in 10-4 victory against the Royals on Monday night.

Nat's Yadiel Hernández: One single against the Pirates.

Hernández went 1-for-4 with a RBI and a strikeout Monday night against the Pirates in a 3-2 win for the Nats. Hernández, once again, late in the game was replaced by PR Víctor Robles. The Cuban outfielder slash line is .268/.312/.389 with 4 HR and 27 RBI this year.

Jay's Lourdes Gurriel Jr: Went 1-for-4 on Monday against the Red Sox.

Gurriel was 1-for-4 in a 7-2 win against the Red Sox on Monday night. Gurriel Jr. drove in a run with a fielder's choice in the fifth and scored when Matt Chapman made it 7-0 with a two-out homer to left. Gurriel is slashing .284/.337/.407 with 4 HR and 33 RBI, and, at the moment, his efforts have earned him a place in the 2022 All-Star Game. Gurriel Jr. is placed sixth in the American League ballot for outfielders, with 672,811 votes, according to the latest ballot update released today.
