Yuli Gurriel went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Friday's win over the White Sox.

Gurriel led off the bottom of the second with a .355-foot home run that landed in the Crawford Boxes at Minute Maid Park. He had a run scored and two RBI in the game. He's been seeing the ball well in June, batting .265 over 49 at-bats. The three-hit outing raised Gurriel's batting average to .229, the highest it has been since May 22. On top of that, he's now homered in back-to-back games.

Jorge Soler went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and two walks Friday as the Marlins fell to the Mets.

With two men on base in the top of the seventh, Soler hit a 93.5 mph double that deflected off of Mark Canha's glove and scored Jazz Chisholm Jr. After hitting just .171 in April (76 at-bats), he's 36-for-144 (.250) with 10 home runs since May 1st.

White Sox's José Abreu, Luis Robert and Yoán Moncada: Just one hit on Friday.

Abreu, Luis Robert, and Moncada combined 1-for-9 on Friday's 13-3 loss to the Astros. Abreu went hit-less with two strikeouts while Robert had one single but also struck out. Moncada had only one AB and went 0-for-1 before leaving the game due to right hamstring tightness.

Astros' Yordan Álvarez: Productive day at the plate. Álvarez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, an RBI single and an additional run scored in Friday's win over the White Sox. Álvarez's sixth-inning homer sent Alex Bregman home and was the fourth of five home runs for the Astros on Friday. It was the outfielder's 18th home run of the season, tied for fourth-best in baseball. Alvarez has been impressive this month, with a hit in 11 of 14 games, including eight with multiple hits, good for a .471 June batting average and a 1.372 OPS. In the same game, Aledmis Díaz went 1-for-4 with a run scored and his BA is now .218 for the year.

Ray's Yandy Díaz and Randy Arozarena: Struggled on Friday.

Even when Díaz went 1-for-4 in the dramatic 1-0 loss to the Orioles, he and Arozarena combined 1-for-8 with 4 strikeouts and 6 runners left on base. Tampa Bay lost its fourth straight game and they really need Díaz and Arozarena's bats, to get back on the winning track, especially with all the injuries the team is facing.

Adolis García went 1-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Friday night as the Rangers walloped the Tigers.

García opened the scoring in the ballgame with a run-scoring double off of Tarik Skubal in the first inning. He then acme around to score on Jonah Heim's RBI double. On the season, Garcia is now slashing .245/.288/.453 with 12 homers, 42 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr.: Hitless on Friday.

In a 12-3 loss to the Yankees, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 0-for-4 to extend his hit-less streak to 10 AB going back to the previous series against the Orioles. Gurriel is now hitting .271 this year.

Yoán Moncada was pulled from Friday's battle against the Astros due to right hamstring tightness.

He's heading for further evaluation to determine the severity of the injury. Moncada has battled quad issues recently as well, so it's likely that the White Sox are going to decide to proceed cautiously here. It wouldn't be surprising to see him wind up back on the injured list.

Orioles' Yusniel Díaz: Begins rehab assignment. Díaz (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with the Orioles' FCL affiliate Fridays. Díaz has been out for over a month with a strained right hamstring. He recorded a strong .327/.424/.510 line in 14 games for Triple-A Norfolk prior to the injury, so the Orioles will be hoping he can get back to that level of performance upon his return to game action.

Nationals' Yadiel Hernández: On bench for doubleheader. Hernández wasn't in the lineup for Friday's doubleheader against the Phillies. Hernández has hit .100 with a run, an RBI, a stolen base, and eight strikeouts over his last six games, and he'll be out of the lineup for the third time in the last four match-ups. Lane Thomas shifted to left field while Victor Robles started in center.
