This marks an important step for Yordan, as he seems to be on the verge of returning to Houston’s lineup after being out for nearly two months due to a small fracture in his right hand. Although the 28-year-old player doesn’t have a specific return date yet, his advancement to on-field hitting without any setbacks indicates he is very close to getting back into game action.

The 27-year-old still has minor-league options available, so he might remain in the minors instead of rejoining the major league team if the Pirates determine he's not ready to contribute at the major-league level.
