Adolis García went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Rays.

Three batters after Corey Seager hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fourth, García hit a 111.4 mph (traveled .440 feet according to Statcast) two-run home run off of Ryan Yarbrough. García went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-0 win Tuesday over the Rays. He added a stolen base in the eighth. It was his fifth two-hit performance in his last seven contests, going 10-for-31 with six extra-base hits in that span. His batting average will likely continue to underwhelm, but he's on track to finish with both double-digit home runs and stolen bases for the second year in a row.

Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) played catch Tuesday for the first time since landing on the injured list, open to sharing closer role.

It's a step in the right direction, but Chapman figures to be eased along slowly as he recovers from lingering discomfort in his left Achilles tendon. There's no set date yet for when he might begin mound workouts. Clay Holmes is currently serving as the primary closer for the Yankees. On Tuesday Chapman was asked if he'd be OK sharing the closer role with Holmes and Chapman said: "It’s simple: if we’re winning, it doesn’t matter where I’m at in the bullpen]."

Yordan Álvarez went 2-for-4 while Yulieski Gurriel added a single.

On Tuesday's night Yordan went 2-for-4 against the A's in a 3-1 win by the Astros. Yordan left three runners on base but scored once, and now he is slashing .266/.361/.570 with 14 HR and 28 RBI for the year. Meanwhile, Gurriel went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts and his BA is .218.

José Abreu lifting his BA. Grandal hitless.

Abreu keeps getting better every week. On Tuesday's night the veteran first baseman went 2-for-3 and walked twice, in a 6-5 loss to the Blue Jays. Abreu' slash line is now .244/.340/.399. The Cuban infielder went 26-for-99 (.263) in the month of May, a big difference with his .217 (15-for-69) BA in April. In the same game Yasmani Grandal, DH and batting leadoff, went 0-for-5 with 3 strikeouts. Grandal's BA is a low .163.

Yadiel Hernández isn't hitting .300 anymore.

Yadiel Hernández went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Tuesday night against the Mets, in a 10-0 loss to the division rivals. Hernández, a consistent hitter in the Nats' lineup, is now hitting .291 for the season.

Roenis Elías threw two scoreless innings.

Lefty reliever Roenis Elías threw two-scoreless innings against the Orioles on Tuesday's night, in a 10-0 win for the Mariners. Elías allowed a single and struck out two, reducing his ERA to a season best 3.00. Elías' contract was picked up for the Mariners back on April 16, but three days later he went back to the Minors. On May 27 Elías was once again selected by the Mariners from the Tacoma Rainiers Minor League team. The 33-year-old reliever has pitched in only two games this season.

Luis Robert was not in the White Sox' starting lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Blue Jays.

Robert was activated from the COVID-19 injured list prior to Tuesday's contest, but won't return to the White Sox' starting lineup until Wednesday.

Yoán Moncada (quad) remained absent from the White Sox' starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Moncada hasn't started for the White Sox since last Wednesday due to a left quad issue. He missed his fourth straight contest Tuesday evening against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
