The White Sox called up Bryan Ramos from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday. The 23-year-old third baseman experienced the major leagues for the first time last season, playing in 32 games with Chicago and posting a .202/.252/.333 slash line with three home runs, 11 RBIs, 13 runs scored, and a 7:22 BB:K ratio over 108 plate appearances. On Monday, the Reds brought Yosver Zulueta up from Triple-A Louisville. As rosters expand, Zulueta offers manager Terry Francona an additional option in the bullpen. He entered Monday's game and got two outs in a perfect outing to earn the 5-4 win over the Blue Jays. This season, the right-hander has allowed three runs and achieved a 3:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 6 innings with the Reds.
In the same game for the Blue Jays, Yariel Rodríguez pitched two innings, giving up two hits and striking out two batters.
