The White Sox called up Bryan Ramos from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday. The 23-year-old third baseman experienced the major leagues for the first time last season, playing in 32 games with Chicago and posting a .202/.252/.333 slash line with three home runs, 11 RBIs, 13 runs scored, and a 7:22 BB:K ratio over 108 plate appearances. Ramos is not expected to receive regular playing time with the White Sox in September, at least not immediately. He served as a pinch hitter on Monday and scored a run.

On Monday, the Reds brought Yosver Zulueta up from Triple-A Louisville. As rosters expand, Zulueta offers manager Terry Francona an additional option in the bullpen. He entered Monday's game and got two outs in a perfect outing to earn the 5-4 win over the Blue Jays. This season, the right-hander has allowed three runs and achieved a 3:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 6 innings with the Reds.
In the same game for the Blue Jays, Yariel Rodríguez pitched two innings, giving up two hits and striking out two batters. He reduced his ERA to 3.20 for the season, despite having faced difficulties in his last 15 games, where he pitched 13 2/3 innings, allowed 14 hits, and gave up 10 runs with an 11:12 strikeout to walk ratio.
