Yoán Moncada had a perfect 2-for-2 performance, hitting a home run, scoring twice, and drawing a walk in the game against the Phillies on Saturday. Jorge Soler with one strikeout.

In the second inning, Yoán Moncada earned a walk and later hit a single in the fourth, scoring on Zach Neto's base hit. He then hit a solo home run off Seth Johnson at the start of the sixth inning, marking his eighth of the season. With a left-handed pitcher on the mound in the eighth, Jorge Soler pinch-hit for Moncada but Soler struck out in his sole appearance in the game.

Miguel Vargas hits two doubles in victory.

On Saturday against the Pirates, Miguel Vargas went 2-for-5, hitting two doubles and scoring a run. This marked his first multi-hit game in his last eight starts, with doubles in both the sixth and eighth innings. Despite having a tough July, with just 8 hits in 50 at-bats, one RBI, and six runs scored, it's noteworthy that Vargas has only struck out eight times during this period.

Randy Arozarena's pair of hits leads Mariners to a 7-6 victory against the Astros.

Randy Arozarena played a crucial role in the Seattle Mariners' 7-6 win against the Houston Astros by recording two hits, including a double, and scoring twice. This double marked his sixth of the season and Iglesias also extended his hitting streak to six games. Despite the Padres' 4-2 loss, Iglesias' contributions raised his season average to .234, reflecting consistent performance in recent games. His OPS for the year stands at .559.

Yandy Díaz's hit, run, and two walks propel Rays past Orioles.

The Rays narrowly defeated the Orioles 4-3, with Yandy Díaz making a significant impact by recording a hit, scoring a run, and securing two walks. In the 2025 season, Díaz has maintained a .290 batting average over 92 games. His steady performance is reflected in his .291/.343/.465 slash line. Currently, he is on a four-game hitting streak and boasts an impressive .296/.371/.444 slash line for July, along with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs.

Adolis García recorded one hit on Saturday.

Adolis García had a 1-for-4 performance on Saturday during the Rangers' 4-1 victory against the Tigers, also scoring a run. This outing continued the strong form of the Cuban outfielder, who has rejuvenated his season in July, posting a slash line of .267/.302/.450 with three home runs and 11 RBIs. Furthermore, Adolis has hit safely in 12 of his 14 games this month. For the year, he has accumulated 13 homers, 56 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.

Andy Pagés hitless against the Brewers.

Andy Pagés went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Brewers. Pagés, who reached his 100th hit mark in his last at-bat before the All-Star Game, hasn't hit a single in the last two games since the season resumed, going 0-for-7 with three strikeouts in his last two games. It has been a breakthrough season for the Cuban outfielder, who is hitting .279/.319/.469 with 17 home runs and 59 RBIs in 2025, his RBI total being the highest mark for Cubans this year.

Raisel Iglesias suffers devastating loss.

Raisel Iglesias had been effective in his previous 15 scoreless appearances, but on Saturday, the Yankees changed the narrative when Iglesias gave up a grand slam to Trent Grisham in the ninth inning. This broke an 8-8 tie and secured the Yankees' lead. It was a pivotal inning for the Cuban pitcher, who started by allowing a double to Paul Goldschmidt. After getting Cody Bellinger out, he intentionally walked Aaron Judge and then walked Giancarlo Stanton, loading the bases. Jazz Chisholm recorded the second out with a line drive to third base, but Grisham capitalized on a slider from the Cuban RHP, driving the ball into right-center field for the victory. Iglesias suffered a significant loss, increasing his ERA to 5.12 for the season, with a 4-6 record over 41 games, including 11 saves.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hitless against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had a hitless performance, going 0-for-5 on Saturday as the D-backs defeated the Cardinals 10-1. He also struck out twice. Gurriel is experiencing a brief slump this July, with a batting line of .167/.219/.233 and no home runs or RBIs in his last seven games. So far this year, he has 12 home runs and 47 RBIs.

Néstor Cortés allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings on Friday during a minor league rehab start with Triple-A Nashville.

Curt Hogg from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Brewers manager Pat Murphy suggested Néstor may have another rehab outing before returning to the majors. An official update on his status is anticipated in the coming days.
