Andy Pagés went 1-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-4 defeat to the Blue Jays. Pagés has maintained a hitting streak for five consecutive games, going 7-for-20 (.350) during this period. He's also secured three steals in his last seven games, partially compensating for a current 16-game stretch without a home run. The outfielder has been consistent enough at the plate to retain his playing time despite the decline in power. This season, he has a .278/.320/.463 slash line, with 19 homers, 11 steals, 68 RBI, and 52 runs scored over 114 games.
Luis D. Morales made an early exit in his first MLB start.
During his first major league start, Luis D. Morales was taken out after allowing five walks over 2 2/3 innings without giving up any hits or runs on Sunday against the Orioles. He also struck out four. Only 25 of Morales’s 57 pitches were strikes, but fortunately, the Orioles didn't capitalize on them. Among their four balls in play, only Gunnar Henderson's hard hit to short stood out. Morales is likely to start again next weekend against the Angels, although he might end the season in the bullpen as the A’s aim to manage his workload.
Luis Robert Jr. recorded one hit on Sunday.
Luis Robert Jr. contributed one hit in the White Sox's 6-4 victory over the Guardians on Sunday. He went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Although he has improved his performance in the second half of the season, his overall stats are still a disappointing .222/.303/.360 across 97 games and 380 plate appearances. However, he is just two home runs away from surpassing last season's total of 14. With 46 RBIs, 31 stolen bases, and 37 fewer strikeouts, he is generally performing better than in 2024.
Yennier Cano with scoreless outing.
In just his third appearance since the start of August, Yennier Cano pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings against the A's on Sunday. He recorded two strikeouts and issued one walk. However, Cano has struggled significantly in his recent outings, as evidenced by his 6.00 ERA over the last 15 games, during which he's allowed 10 runs in 15 innings with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 10:7.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. scores two times on Sunday.
In a 13-6 win against the Rockies on Sunday, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had an 1-for-4 performance. He scored two runs and struck out once. He also executed a good throw to home plate in the fifth inning, successfully throwing out Warming Bernabel to end the inning. Gurriel is experiencing a tough season, as evidenced by his career-low slash line of .249/.295/.408.

Yandy contributed his 67th RBI of the year and struck out as well. For Arozarena, finishing with a 30/30 or at least a 25/25 season for the first time in his career would be remarkable. Meanwhile, Yandy's RBI places him second among all Cubans in this category in 2025.

Yariel Rodríguez earned his 13th hold of the season during the Blue Jays' 5-4 win against the Dodgers. Once more, Yariel gave up runs during his appearance, conceding one earned run after allowing two walks and recording one strikeout in 2/3 innings pitched. In his last seven games, the Cuban right-hander has undeniably struggled, surrendering seven earned runs on seven hits over six innings, with a concerning strikeout-to-walk ratio of 2:7.
Yanquiel Fernández with multi-hit game.
Yanquiel Fernández recorded his second multi-hit game in August, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored during the Rockies' 13-6 defeat to the D-backs. This marked Yanquiel' second two-hit performance since August 3, boosting his monthly slash line to .313/.353/.500. The 22-year-old is making the most of his chances in his rookie season, and additional playing time will certainly be essential for him to adjust to the pitching at this level.

This year has been a standout for the Cuban left-handed reliever, who currently boasts a 2.00 ERA, an .180 batting average against, with a 54:11 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 57 games and 54 innings.
Yoán Moncada left out of the infield lineup on Sunday.
