Matanzas, 16 ago (PL) - Yurisbel Gracial, Yoennis Yera, Ariel Martínez y Andrys Pérez, miembros del equipo Cuba al último Clásico Mundial, lideran la nómina de Cocodrilos de Matanzas de cara a la 64 Serie Nacional de Béisbol (SNB), revelaron hoy autoridades de deportes en la occidental provincia.

Sobresalen en el listado de 40 jugadores, divulgado por páginas institucionales en la red social Facebook, otros atletas de amplio recorrido en el pasatiempo nacional como Noelvis Entenza, Armando Dueñas, Yamichel Pérez, Aníbal Medina, Yariel Duque, Eduardo Blanco y José A. Noroña, este último erigido como jugador más valioso (MVP) de la campaña precedente.

Además, llaman la atención nóveles figuras con destacada trayectoria en categorías de aprendizaje, entre ellos Shaiel Cruz, Silvio B. Iturralde, Yosney García, Rey Charles Chacón, Dayán Ibáñez, Brayan Peña y Hangelo Videt, quienes llegan después de mostrar credenciales en el más reciente torneo para menores de 23 años.

El comunicado aclara también que, en el caso de Yadil Mujica y Jean Earwin Walters, que residen en el extranjero, su incorporación dependerá de la rapidez con que finalicen sus compromisos extrafronteras.

Recientemente, Armando Ferrer, manager del conjunto por sexto año al hilo, declaró que el propósito del plantel radica en pugnar por la inclusión en los play off, en la venidera Liga Élite y discutir la corona, esquiva para Matanzas desde la Serie 59, finalizada en 2020.
